9 Most Instagram Worthy Places in Key West

Planning your next Key West trip? Scoping out the best places to eat or finding that perfectly, idyllic resort with all the amenities? There's nothing like making friends and family envious of your good fortune, while taking a wonderful sailing trip to the tropical oasis of Key West, Florida. To help you in your pursuit of finding that perfect spot, that is that " oh so " Instagram perfect, we have our recommendations on this very important issue!

1) Duval Street Pocket Park

On the north side of the island is a beautiful pier that juts out into the clear waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Simply follow Duval Street, towards the southeast (away from Mallory Square and Sloppy Joe's) and you'll find this little gem. Then just around the corner you will also find one of the most photographed places in the US, the world famous Southernmost Buoy! Making this stop, really a two for one.

2) Lighthouse opposite the Hemingway Home

Here you can step back into time and up in the air, as you ascend to the top of this 65 foot lighthouse tower, that was built back in the 1820's. Not only can you get a fantastic shot from the outside, it's also one of the tallest structures on the island, for that great panoramic shot.

3) Key West Cemetery

Now you may be thinking that "who would want a picture in a cemetery"? Well, as most things Key West, the cemetery is also one of the places that is steeped with history. As well as, some interesting and humorous bidding's from and by the dearly departed.

4) Truman Little White House

The grounds of the Truman Annex are some of the most meticulously maintained that you will find anywhere and make for that lush, tropical, regal Instagram shot.

5) Lookout Tower at the Shipwreck Museum

Like the Lighthouse, this will challenge your thigh muscles. Also standing at 65', the tower was rebuilt after Hurricane Irma swept through. If you have a 360° camera, you can get a great shot if the entire island.

6) Mile Marker 0

Depending on your point of view, this can be the start of or the end of your journey. US 1 runs from Key West to Fort Kent, Maine, 2369 miles away. This is also one of the most replaced mile markers in the US, as it is frequently stolen! But, we wouldn't recommend taking this as a souvenir, as the fines are pretty steep!

7) Sunset Celebration at Mallory Square

 This nightly celebration of the sun's setting into the waters of the Gulf of Mexico make for some of the most stunning of photographers collections, not to mention eliciting the envy of others.

While maybe not the most awe inspiring of locales, nothing says "I'm here", like standing in front a picture postcard mural of Key West.
