There's nothing like making friends and family envious of your good fortune, while taking a wonderful sailing trip to the tropical oasis of Key West, Florida. To help you in your pursuit of finding that perfect spot, that is that " oh so " Instagram perfect, we have our recommendations on this very important issue!

1) Duval Street Pocket Park

On the north side of the island is a beautiful pier that juts out into the clear waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Simply follow Duval Street, towards the southeast (away from Mallory Square and Sloppy Joe's) and you'll find this little gem. Then just around the corner you will also find one of the most photographed places in the US, the world famous Southernmost Buoy! Making this stop, really a two for one.

2) Lighthouse opposite the Hemingway Home

Here you can step back into time and up in the air, as you ascend to the top of this 65 foot lighthouse tower, that was built back in the 1820's. Not only can you get a fantastic shot from the outside, it's also one of the tallest structures on the island, for that great panoramic shot.

Depending on your point of view, this can be the start of or the end of your journey. US 1 runs from Key West to Fort Kent, Maine, 2369 miles away. This is also one of the most replaced mile markers in the US, as it is frequently stolen! But, we wouldn't recommend taking this as a souvenir, as the fines are pretty steep!
